The award is limited to undergraduate and graduate students who are first authors of a paper published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal during the calendar year 2008. The first author must have been a registered student at a degree-awarding institution at the time the paper was submitted to the publishing journal. The recipient will receive a check for $500.00 U.S. and a framed certificate. Nomination Process: Nominations can be made directly to the Chair of the Selection Committee, Dr. Herb Frey: Herbert.V.Frey@nasa.gov. Planetary science papers published in English only will be considered for this award. Presentations discussing landforms and processes on Mars, Titan, Venus, Mercury, the Moon, asteroids and other solid bodies will all be most welcome. 6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6 POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP ON ORBITAL DYNAMICS The Group of Orbital Dynamics & Planetology of the Sao Paulo State University, Sao Paulo, Brazil, invites applications for one postdoctoral position at UNESP, in Guaratingueta. The candidates should preferably have experience on Dynamics of Coorbital Systems. Applicants should send a statement of research interest and a curriculum vitae with a list of publications to Dr. Rodolpho Vilhena de Moraes: rodolpho@feg.unesp.br The closing date for receipt of applications is 30 January 2009. This is just a little reminder that the deadline for this Special Issue of Planetary and Space Science (PSS) entitled "Exploring other worlds by exploring our own: The role of terrestrial analogue studies in planetary exploration" is JANUARY 31ST 2009. Our goal of this volume is to highlight some of the recent cutting-edge research in the fields of Comparative Planetary Geology and Geomorphology, Astrobiology, and Exploration Science and Technologies for Exploration. On behalf of the other Guest Editors (Neil Banerjee, Richard Soare, and Marie-Claude Williamson), myself, and the PSS editorial board, we invite you to submit manuscripts on any of the above topics. Papers should be submitted via the journal's submission site: http://ees.elsevier.com/pss/ Please ensure that you select the Article Type "SPECIAL ISSUE: Osinski-Analogue" when submitting your paper. Publication of the issue is planned for Fall 2009.
