Focus: To unify our understanding of Saturn's magnetosphere with 
emphasis on gas and plasma sources and interactions, losses (including
acceleration and/or cooling processes) and transport at Saturn.

JOB OPENING: MANAGER, ASTROMATERIALS RESEARCH OFFICE

The JSC Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science Directorate 
(ARES) announces an opening for the position of Manager, 
Astromaterials Research Office (Mail Code KR).  The successful 
candidate will serve in an administrative and supervisory capacity as 
Office Manager, as well as perform independent research in 
astromaterials and direct the research programs within the Office.

COSPAR CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON LUNAR AND PLANETARY SURFACE
SCIENCE 

6-19 September 2009, Harbin, China

The 10th COSPAR Capacity Building Workshop will take place from 6-19
September 2009 at the Harbin Institute of Technology in Harbin, China,
and will deal with Lunar and Planetary Surface Science.  The target 
audience are young scientists working in the upcoming lunar and 
planetary research projects in the Asia - Pacific region.  The 
workshop is intended to address the exploration of the Earth's Moon,
Mars, and small bodies such as comets and asteroids.
