PLANETARY DECADAL WHITE PAPERS ARE DUE TODAY (TUESDAY, SEPT. 15).

Please note: only papers submitted through the National Academies web 
site as indicated below will be accepted; papers listed on other web 
sites will NOT automatically be submitted to the Survey.

White papers can be submitted by navigating your browser to: 
http://www8.nationalacademies.org/ssbsurvey/.  We will only accept 
white papers submitted by means of this web-based system.

Submissions must be made before 11:59 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, 
September 15, 2009.

[NASA] SBAG DECADAL WORKSHOP AT DPS - TIME CHANGE AGAIN!

The workshop no longer conflicts with a memorial session on asteroid
imaging honoring Steve Ostro.

This workshop will be to debate priorities for the decadal survey
in the area of small bodies. This is in support of the Primitive
Bodies Decadal Panel. SBAG organized seven community white papers, 
now submitted, that identified top-level science issues and mission 
priorities within the subdisciplines of Near-Earth Asteroids, 
Asteroids, Comets, Dwarf Planets, Small Satellites, Centaurs and 
Small Irregular TNOs, and Interplanetary Dust. The next task is to 
prioritize the science issues and the recommended future NASA 
missions across the entire primitive bodies field.

These white papers, in addition to more narrowly focused topical 
papers are available at

The workshop will commence with five minute presentations on each 
of the seven community white papers mentioned above, followed by 
an open discussion.

DECADAL SURVEY - GIANT PLANETS PANEL: COMMUNITY WORKSHOP AT DPS

October 6, Tuesday, 12:00-1:30 PM
Room: Culebra

This workshop will be to discuss the results of the community white 
papers.  This is a chance for further community input and to work 
towards consensus on the priorities for exploration of the Giant 
Planets. Bring your lunch and please join us!
