These facilities include two modern scanning electron microscopes, and a Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS). The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to carry out independent research in the area(s) of solid surface planetary and/or laboratory spectroscopy, and is expected to publish scientific papers on a regular basis. This position entails regular travel (~two weeks duration, every other month) to Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY), travel to science team meetings (two/year, usually in Tucson AZ), and co-location in Tucson AZ for mission-critical events, primarily in the first half of calendar year 2019. The desired start date is 2 January 2018; the position is for two years, with the potential to extend for a third year. TER products are image cubes derived from CRISM hyperspectral targeted observations, post-processed to standardize the illumination and observation geometry and remove atmospheric gas absorptions and instrument artifacts. The Principal Investigator (PI) of a selected proposal, and that person alone, will be added to the Juno Science Team as a Participating Scientist and will be given all of the rights and responsibilities of Juno Co-Is, as per the Juno Rules of the Road. The purpose of the PCCS is to work towards making the community of planetary scientists an environment in which professional merit is the only criterion that determines each person's success. This release includes a complete revision of LEND RSCI data products. In general, LRO Release 31 includes data collected between March 14, 2017 and June 15, 2017.
