Lock was named the 2019 Pellas-Ryder Awardee for his manuscript "The Origin of the Moon within a Terrestrial Synestia", published in the Journal of Geophysical Research Planets in 2018. Simon was a PhD student at Harvard University, and is now a postdoc at California Institute of Technology. This award, which is jointly sponsored by the Meteoritical Society and the Planetary Geology Division of the Geological Society of America, is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who is first author of the best planetary science paper published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal during the year prior to the award. The 2-year position is supported by a CNRS Momentum grant entitled "Spectral Imagery Unravels the Nature of Planetary Crusts". Applications are now open, until June 30, 2019. The elected candidates will assume their positions in June 2019. The elected Vice-Chair will serve for two years as Vice-Chair, followed by two years as Chair, and then by two years as Past-Chair. All other open positions are for three year terms. This release includes raw data from the following instruments, archived at various PDS nodes: SEIS (Seismometer) at the Geosciences Node RAD (Radiometer) at the Geosciences Node TWINS (Temperature and Wind) and Pressure Sensor at the Atmospheres Node IFG (InSight Fluxgate Magnetometer) at the PPI Node RISE (Radio Science) at the Geosciences Node ICC/IDC (Instrument Context Camera / Instrument Deployment Camera) at the Cartography and Imaging Sciences Node SPICE at the NAIF Node Data from the HP3 (Heat Flow and Physical Properties Probe) and IDA (Instrument Deployment Arm) will be released later. The release includes EDR and RDR level data acquired between 2018-07-16 and 2018-10-29, which covers Juno Orbits 15 and 16. Data sets from the following experiments are now available: FGM (magnetometer) Gravity JADE (plasma) JEDI (energetic particle detector) JunoCam (camera) MWR (microwave radiometer) SPICE UVS (ultraviolet imaging spectrometer) Waves (radio and plasma wave science) JIRAM data will not be in this release. The SBAG Steering Committee organizes SBAG meetings, writes the official SBAG findings, and takes a leadership role in other activities where community input on topics of interest is needed. We are looking for members with expertise in the following areas: * SBAG Planetary Defense Lead * Early Career Secretary - Assist with meeting and website logistics, as well as serve as a full member of the Steering Committee. For early career scientists or engineers (within 3 years of PhD/MS/BS). * At-large members (1 or 2) - Any member of the small bodies community is welcome to apply. If you are interested, please email Tim Swindle (tswindle@lpl.arizona.edu) by June 17, 2019, and include a two-page CV (including participation in SBAG or other small bodies community organizations) and your statement of interest (one page or less).
