The intent of this workshop is to provide members of the scientific community a chance to interact with Surveyor Science Team members and learn more about the anticipated NEO Surveyor observing cadence, data products, and timescales of public delivery. For more information, and to register, please visit the workshop webpage: https://neos.arizona.edu/events/science-neo-surveyor 6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6 PLANETARY DATA MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP The Planetary Data Management Workshop is a virtual, one-day training event on May 7, 2024 focused on archiving common planetary science datasets outside of the PDS, openly available tools, and data management best practices. This applied workshop addresses SPD-41a requirements, organizing of common data types, metadata creation, peer reviews, and data repositories. Class size is limited to 30 participants; please register here: https://forms.office.com/g/Q4gkc7rNq3 7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7 THE URANUS FLAGSHIP: INVESTIGATING NEW PARADIGMS FOR OUTER PLANET EXPLORATION WORKSHOP Registration and abstract submission are now open for "The Uranus Flagship: Investigating New Paradigms for Outer Planet Exploration Workshop" to be held in Greenbelt, MD from 21 to 23 May 2024. We also seek abstracts on the following topics: Near term technologies: Infusions of near-term (TRL 4-6) technologies may help enhance the science return of missions. We especially seek contributions on technologies that help save mass or power or can improve science data volume return. Mission science drivers: We seek summary discussions that can highlight the breadth of measurements that contribute to answering Decadal thematic questions, how they drive the mission architecture, and which measurements/methods offer the highest science return. Interdisciplinary and cross-divisional science: Flagship missions often contribute to science beyond the STM. Topics can include examples of how this has worked on other missions, investigations that could contribute UOP interdivisional science without changing the mission design, and how UOP exploration will benefit other Division's decadal survey goals, etc. Please visit our website to register and submit abstracts: https://science.gsfc.nasa.gov/690/uranus-flagship Deadlines: Registration: 5 April 2024 Abstracts: 25 March 2024, 5 PM Eastern [Edited for length] 8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8 EARLY CAREER TRAVEL FOR URANUS WORKSHOP With funding from NASA, we are pleased to announce early career domestic travel grants to attend the "The Uranus Flagship: Investigating New Paradigms for Outer Planet Exploration Workshop" to be held in Greenbelt, MD from 21 to 23 May 2024. For example: (post)doctoral supervisors and (post)doctoral researchers, or a line manager and their direct/line report. Empathy and trust are key and central to these interactions. The Earth Science Women's Network is organising a webinar specifically focused on this on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 1730 UTC aimed at researchers and professionals from all career levels and sectors. Through this event, we hope to educate, empower and inspire individuals to navigate these interactions, learn the importance of empathy and trust in workplace relationships and advocate good practices to create safe and nurturing spaces in teams/lab groups. Registration is now open: https://forms.gle/63cEW4Ru4uBStT7F9 We will be joined by 4 fantastic speakers who will share their experiences & provide insights: - Maria Augusta Arruda (Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBIO-CNPEM), Brazil) - Julia Cisneros (Department of Geosciences, Virginia Tech, USA) - Phyllis Bernice Kwarteng Donkor (University of Ghana, Ghana) - Helayna Jenkins (London Borough of Bromley, UK) Any questions, please email events@eswnonline.org 10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10 [NASA] SMD: IMPROVING THE USABILITY OF THE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES IN SPACE AND EARTH SCIENCE (ROSES) NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT (NRA) REQUEST FOR INFORMATION This email announces a response date extension to a Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Request for Information (RFI) that seeks input on approaches to improving ease of use of the NASA Research Announcement (NRA) and Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) entitled "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Science" or ROSES.
