Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets - New Papers o---------------------------------------------------------------------o 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 PLANETARY MISSION SENIOR REVIEW (PMSR25) As required by Congress, the Planetary Mission Senior Review (PMSR) was conducted by NASA's Planetary Science Division (PSD) in early 2025 to evaluate proposals requesting extended operations in FY26 through FY28 for: Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), Mars Odyssey (ODY), Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), Mars Science Laboratory (MSL), Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN), and Juno. A Final Report of all reviewed missions, written by the Review Chairs, was delivered to NASA PSD on March 26, 2025. The Final Report has been posted publicly at: https://science.nasa.gov/planetary-science/resources/senior-review/ While the senior review is an important factor in NASA decisions on the future of these missions, these decisions are currently deferred until further notice. 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 IMPACTS AND THEIR ROLE IN THE ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION OF LIFE: ABSTRACT DEADLINE EXTENDED The conference "Impacts and their role in the origin and evolution of life" will take place from 1-4 September 2025 in the picturesque medieval city of Nordlingen, which is situated inside the world-famous Ries crater in southern Germany. It aims to cover the role of meteorite and comets impacts in the formation of Earth, its atmosphere and the evolution of life. The conference will consist of lectures, discussions and excursions and participants will also have the possibility to display their own research results in one or two poster sessions. The European Astrobiology Institute and the Stockholm University Astrobiology Centre, and the University of Neu-Ulm will function as co-organisers of the conference. We also will have two one-day excursions, one around the Ries crater on 4 September and one half-day excursion on 2 September to the Steinheim crater with its famous central uplift feature. There is also plenty of time for contributed talks, especially by young scientists. Deadline for abstract submission is 15 June 2025. SBAG is led by its Steering Committee (SC). Historically, the SC organizes two SBAG meetings per year, writes official SBAG findings, and takes a leadership role in activities requiring community input. The SBAG SC is soliciting two new general members and a Planetary Defense Lead. Community members from any career stage, including international, may apply. The nominal term of service is three years, starting August 2025. All applications require: 1) a two-page CV, including a description of participation in SBAG, other small bodies organizations, or related work, and 2) a short (300 words maximum) statement of interest. Additionally, the Planetary Defense Lead application should (i) meet the requirements of the general member application, (ii) indicate a preference for the Planetary Defense Lead position, and (iii) include relevant planetary defense experience. This workshop will convene scientists, engineers, students and other stakeholders who develop or use instrumentation onboard planetary missions to discuss key planetary science questions and the technology that is required to address these questions. This release contains raw, calibrated, and derived data products covering the nominal time period from December 15, 2024, through March 14, 2025. Some instrument teams are delivering more recent data. The data are archived at various PDS nodes. - CRaTER at the PPI Node - Diviner at the Geosciences Node - *LAMP at the Cartography and Imaging Sciences Node - LEND at the Geosciences Node - LOLA at the Geosciences Node - LROC at the LROC Data Node - Mini-RF at the Geosciences Node - Radio Science at the Geosciences Node - *SPICE at the NAIF Node *LAMP may be delayed up to 2 weeks.
